TPE has an experienced and dedicated team of investment professionals that has worked together for many years. We work closely with management teams, leveraging our knowledge, networks and expertise to assist them in creating and building value.

Douglas E. Hailey
Mr Hailey joined Taglich Brothers, Inc. in 1994 as Head of Investment Banking and co-lead the private equity initiative in 2001. He participates in sourcing, evaluating and executing new investments as well as monitoring existing investments and managing portfolio company divestitures. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Basin Environmental, BG Staffing, Fiberline, Lignetics, Hobbs Bonded Fiber, Orchids and Pinnacle. Prior to joining Taglich Brothers, he spent five years with Weatherly Financial Group, assisting in sponsoring leveraged buyouts and three years in structured finance lending at Heller Financial and the Bank of New York. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern New Mexico University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas.

Richard L. Baum, Jr.
Mr. Baum joined TPE in 2005. He participates in sourcing, evaluating and executing new investments as well as monitoring existing investments and managing portfolio company divestitures. Mr. Baum focuses on manufacturing and industrial investment opportunities with an emphasis on deploying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques and strategies. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of BG Staffing, Defiance Metal Products, Hobbs Bonded Fiber, National Molding, Private Label Skin, Simkar and Unique Fabricating. Prior to joining TPE, he led a group that purchased a private equity portfolio from Transamerica and continues to monitor the remaining portfolio investments. From 1998 to 2003, Mr. Baum was a Managing Director in the small business merger and acquisition practice of Wachovia Securities and its predecessor, First Union Securities. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Drexel University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

William I. Morris
Mr. Morris joined TPE in 2010. He participates in sourcing, evaluating and executing new investments as well as monitoring existing investments and managing portfolio company divestitures. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Fiberline, Lignetics , Mare Island Dry Dock and Pinnacle. Prior to joining TPE, Mr. Morris was a managing director at Stonehouse Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in underperforming companies. Prior to Stonehouse, he spent six years with American Industrial Partners, a middle market private equity firm focused on manufacturing and industrial service businesses. Additionally, he previously served in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Financial Institutions Groups of J.P. Morgan & Co. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and an MA in Economics with distinction from the University of Essex.

Vincent Palmieri
Mr. Palmieri joined TPE in 2006. He is primarily responsible for corporate development and sourcing new investment opportunities. He looks to source new opportunities through our existing network and the overall middle market. He is the lead liaison to intermediaries; including Investment Bankers, M&A Advisors, Business Brokers, Accounting Firms and Law Firms. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Gary Kurnov
Mr. Kurnov joined TPE in 2007. He participates in evaluating and executing new investments and monitoring existing investments. He is currently a member of the Board of Basin Environmental and a Board observer of Fiberline, Hobbs Bonded Fibers, Lignetics, National Molding and Pinnacle. Prior to joining TPE, Mr. Kurnov spent several years in the Corporate Development groups at both Moody's and The Nielsen Company. Previously, Mr. Kurnov worked at Decision Strategies International, a boutique strategy consulting firm. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

William Cooke, CFA
Mr. Cooke joined in 2012. He participates in sourcing, evaluating, and executing new investments. Prior to joining, he was a Managing Director of Glenwood Capital LLC where he advised middle-market clients on capital raising and mergers and acquisitions. From 2001 to 2009, Mr. Cooke sourced, evaluated and executed mezzanine transactions for The Gladstone Companies and BHC Interim Funding II, L.P. Before entering the private equity industry, he served as a securities analyst primarily covering the automotive and industrial sectors for ABN AMRO Incorporated and McDonald & Company Securities, Inc. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and a CFA Charterholder.

Denis J. McEvoy, CFA
Mr. McEvoy joined TPE in 2013. He participates in evaluating and executing new investments, monitoring existing investments and portfolio company divestitures. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Private Label Skin and a board observer of Defiance Metal Products. Prior to joining TPE, he was a member of the Industrial and Basic Materials research team at Susquehanna International Group and the the Packaged Food, Agribusiness and Foodservice research team at Soleil Securities. Previously, he spent six years at Goldman Sachs in the Equity and Fixed Income divisions. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with honors from the University of Florida. He is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and a CFA Charterholder.

M. Brandon Bridges
Mr. Bridges joined TPE in 2016. He is participating in evaluating and executing new investments and monitoring existing portfolio companies. Previously, he spent eight years at Parkway Capital Investors, a junior capital firm making mezzanine debt and non-control equity investments in lower middle market companies. At Parkway, his responsibilities included firm marketing and deal sourcing, new investment evaluation and underwriting, and portfolio management. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with honors from Towson University.
